Making a Difference!
A very dear friend of mine shared with me an article about a lovely charity “Children of Bulgaria” that she’s got attached to, and asked me if I can find a way to get this out to as many people as I can.
For years, I wanted to find a way to give back... and this idea was on my to do list.
And now my friend’s request triggered me to go ahead and just do it, and implement it right away.
So here it is, starting April 1st:
We’ll donate 5% of every sale we make to our client's choice of Charity or Nonprofit.
It’s official now!!!
Last year their project was rebuilding and refurbishing a school for children with disabilities that burnt to the ground in Plovdiv.
It was a great success and they managed to raise more money than their original goal. The school is now open again.
See below excerpts of their new campaign and link to it if you wish to find more about it and/or contribute.
I am sure if you read their story, it will touch your hearts too.
Here is what they say:
“Dear Friend of Children of Bulgaria,
Our new campaign is for the children at the School of Arts and Crafts for Socially Disadvantaged Children “Dimitar Ekimov” in the village of Rusalya. The children come from families living in extreme poverty with no previous access to any form of education. Some of them were unable to communicate prior to coming to the school, which resulted in their complete isolation from society.
The school provides instruction in traditional dancing, music instruments, knitting, and other crafts and arts, in addition to the standard school program. Although the school receives some government funding, it does not cover all of their ongoing expenses. Our goal is to raise $25,000 with which to cover the expenses for food for the children, electricity and heat for one school year. So far, we have raised $8,572 and we hope that you can help us to meet or exceed our goal!
If you’d like to make a donation, please send a check to Children of Bulgaria, Inc., 36 Harrison Dr., Larchmont, NY 10538, or use PayPal at www.paypal.me/childrenofbulgaria
